Switzerland is the 6th country providing a top-quality education in the world in 2021 !

Swiss universities keep moving up in the ranking of the best universities in the world made by QS World University Rankings each year.

The recent ranking of the best countries for education in the world made by the U.S. News put Switzerland at the sixth position in terms of top-quality education in the world.

Besides having a wide range of private and public schools for children from an early age, Switzerland also counts many options for teenagers and young adults pursuing academic careers.

Indeed, the Confederation has many prestigious universities, such as the Swiss Federal Polytechnic Schools of Zurich (EPFZ) and Lausanne (EPFL), which have won numerous awards for their excellence and specialization in engineering.

The following four Swiss universities are all ranked in the top 100 best universities of 2021 :

  • The école hôtelière of Lausanne (EHL) in 1st position in the Hotel & Leisure category
  • The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (EPFZ) in 7th position just after the well-known English universities of Cambridge (6th position) and Oxford (5th position)
  • The Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) in 22nd position
  • The University of Zurich (UZH) in 78th position
